Progetto Prevenzione ILOP

ILOP Prevention Project

Optica ILOP continues its commitment this school year to amblyopia prevention in preschools.

Amblyopia, also known as 'lazy eye,' is a condition in which one eye does not develop proper vision during childhood. If not detected early, it can lead to a permanent reduction in visual ability.

Prevention is an act of care and attention towards the future of children.

For over six years, we have been carrying out a project dedicated to the eye health of young children: Dr. Maura Franzetti, our orthoptist, conducts amblyopia screenings directly in kindergartens across the province. The aim is to detect early signs of this condition and, if necessary, refer children for a specialist examination to ensure timely treatment.

Taking care of your vision today makes a difference tomorrow.

Preventing amblyopia is not just a simple check-up: it’s a gesture of care for children’s visual well-being and their future. Early intervention ensures healthy visual development and a better quality of life.
